The Abyssinian Banana Tree also known as the Ethiopian Banana Tree is a plant species native to the Highlands of East Africa. This new unique plant species is characterised by its stunning red leaves that can take on hues of green, purple and orange with large thick stalks. Wisley Gardens in Surrey England has a tropical garden section with a number of these eye catching species such as the one shown.
Wisley Gardens situated in Surrey England is part of the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and home to some of the largest plant collections anywhere in the world.
